Trey completed his Master's in Biological and Medicina Chemistry (2017) at the University of East Anglia under the supervision of Dr G.Richard Stephenson, followed by completing his PhD (2021) in Pharmaceutical Sciences under Professor Yaroslav Khimyak and Dr Fred Warren at the Quadram Institue Bioscience. Trey continued onto doing a post-doctoral position in the group of Dr Matthew Wallace focusing on NMR method development for biological and biomedical applications, before being appointed as independent lecturer at the University of East Anglia in 2026.
